Tips to Avoid a Flooded Foyer

Right outside the foyer of your home is usually an awning of sorts. Sometimes it is built in with the home and other times it's built as a separate piece and attache. In either case water can get into your San Antonio home after a rain storm if not properly maintained. Her are some tips:

1. Remove debris from gutters around your home.
2. Reseal between the home and attached awning.
3. Inspect and replace broken or missing shingles.
4. Replace seal on door if it does not fit snugly.
5. Tighten door threshold regularly if loos and replace if damaged.
